Arts Integration, A Problem to Solve

The arts provide a pathway to learning. Math becomes a functional reality, language is interpreted, history is visually evident, and science is produced. Below are a few examples of successful uses of integration in the art studio. The first is called "The Museum Experience" where students use Feldman's Art Criticism to develop a tessellated design to study pattern and color theory. The second is an altered book assignment where a variety of historical, literary, and scientific problems are solved.
